JSC Hydromash named after V.I. Luzyanin, Nizhny Novgorod, is the leading Russian company in the field of development, manufacture and testing of landing gear and hydraulic actuators and units for all types of aircraft.
Hydromash landing gears are installed on various modifications of airplanes and helicopters of the leading national design bureaus. Unique landing gear for reusable Buran space shuttle were also designed and manufactured here.
Today Hydromash participates in practically all priority national aviation programs. The work is carried out with the use of the best international practices which allows for improved reliability of the products, thus increasing its competitiveness with respect to price-quality ratio.

The company is founded by Peotr Ilyin in Moscow as a carriage shop that manufactures different types of horse-drawn carriages.
Moscow Joint Stock Company P. Ilyin carries out the assembly and repair of automobile bodies.
The company carries out domestic aviation orders, thus becoming one of the first Russian aircraft manufacturing plants.
4-th state automobile plant (the new name of the company) starts production of Fowler automatic ploughs.
Spartak plant (the new name of the company) starts commercial production of NAMI-1.
The plant is transferred to the authority of «GlavAviaProm» and starts developing and manufacturing landing gear for domestic aviation.
The plant is evacuated from Moscow to Gorky.
The plant is rebuilt, new buildings are built, equipment is renewed.
Vladimir Luzyanin begins to manage the plant.
By the Decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the development of new aviation equipment the plant personnel is awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

JSC Hydromash named after V.I. Luzyanin goes public and enters the international market. Start of cooperation with the Liebherr Group for the supply of aviation and earthmoving equipment units.
JSC Hydromash named after V.I. Luzyanin together with the German MBB (Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm) wins the tender for the landing gear development for the reusable European spaceplane Hermes.
For the big contribution to the development and production of aviation equipment and due to its 200-year anniversary JSC Hydromash named after V.I. Luzyanin is awarded with a commendation from the President of the Russian Federation.
With the use of nose and main landing gear mock-ups designed and manufactured at Hydromash аor static tests, the formal rolling out of the first Sukhoi Super Jet-100 takes place.
